The Frank Phillips Home will be hosting its "Second Sunday" events on April 13th from 1 to 5 pm.  Gary Rohr, Executive Director of the J.M. Davis Arms and Historical Museum will be speaking at 2 PM about this vast collection.  The museum houses the world’s largest privately owned firearms collection, plus 31,000 nonfirearm artifacts including Native American displays, cowboy and western memorabilia, antique musical instruments and music boxes as well as a World War I poster collection.  Seating is limited, so reserve your space by calling 336-2491, Ext. 103.  Admission to the presentation is free.  By reserving your space, your name will be entered in a drawing for a Washington County Family History Book -- a $50 value.  The home will be open for tours and the tour staff will be in 1908 period clothing.   Come and join us for this fun afternoon!  The home is located at 1107 SE Cherokee, Bartlesville , OK .

There is a lot to do and see at the Frank Phillips Home during June!

Our staff will be dressed in period clothing of the early 1900s.  The Home will be open for tours as usual.  We will also be unveiling the beautifully reproduced 1930s kitchen floors that day, so if you would like to just drop in for a few minutes to see the new floors, please feel welcome.
June 12 Bartlesville Ladies Connection will be hosting a picnic luncheon on the grounds from 11:45 - 1:30.  All ladies are invited to attend.  Cost for lunch $6.00.  Please call Carol Smith 333-5368 for reservations.

OK Mozart!!  The Home will be open Monday thru Saturday this week, 10 to 5 with the last tour beginning at 4 pm each day. 

OK Mozart Showcase Workshops:  Mrs. Martha Ray will be back with us again this year, bringing us some new (and very popular) Victorian Crafts.  See below for times.  To enroll in one of these workshops, please call or stop by the OK Mozart Box Office at 500 A S. Dewey, 918-336-9800.

June 17 OK Mozart Showcase Event - "Victorian Necklace and Earrings".  Create a beautiful and unique Victorian necklace with matching earrings.  All supplies provided.  1-4 pm.  Cost $28.
June 18 OK Mozart Showcase Event - "Victorian Ribbon Roses".  Enjoy stories of the Victorian Era while learning to make various styles of roses from fine ribbons.  These roses may be used as a single stem or in a beautiful bouquet.  All supplies provided.  9 to Noon.  Cost $18.

OK Mozart Showcase Event "Victorian Ribbon Pillow".  Create a beautiful pillow top from colorful ribbons woven in your own unique design -- a wonderful Victorian art form!  All supplies provided.  1-4 p.m.  Cost $20. 
June 19 OK Mozart Showcase Event - "Victorian Handbag".  Learn about Victorian fashion as you create a handbag you will be proud to carry or display.  All supplies provided.  9-Noon.  Cost $25.

The Frank Phillips Home will be hosting its "Second Sunday" events on September 9th from 1 to 5 pm.  This month the Home welcomes Martha Ray and her very popular Victorian workshops.   Martha will demonstrate how to make a “Crazy Quilt” Christmas Ornament from the 1890’s and share the history and folklore of this wonderful Christmas tradition.  Participants will make their own ornament to take home, and instructions on how to make a Folded Quilt Ornament also!  Cost for the workshop is $12.00 – all supplies are provided.  Reservations are required to attend this class since seating is limited.  You may reserve your space by calling 336-2491, Ext. 100. The tour staff will be in 1909 period clothing.  Come and join us for this fun event.

Frank's Birthday and Recognition of Veterans
The Frank Phillips Home will be hosting its "Second Sunday" event in honor of Frank’s birthday on November 11th from 1 to 5 pm.  Doug Lucas from the Red Dirt Soap Factory will be speaking at 2 PM on “The Amazing History of Soaps”.  After his presentation, you will have an opportunity to see the new Red Dirt Soap Christmas products available for purchase.  Seating is limited, so reserve your space by calling 336-2491, Ext. 100.  Admission to the presentation is free.  By reserving your space, your name will be entered in a drawing for a Red Dirt Soap gift basket – a $25 value.  The home will be open for tours and the tour staff will be in 1908 period clothing.   Veterans will receive a free home tour and a 10% discount in our gift shop – just show your veteran’s card. Come and join us for this fun afternoon!  The home is located at 1107 SE Cherokee, Bartlesville, OK.
