Frank Phillips Home - Open for Tours!

During January, the Home closed for the purpose of deep cleaning, repair work, archival work and staff training. We reopened to the public on Wednesday, Feb 1st. 

 

We thought you might enjoy seeing some of the projects we were able to complete while we were closed.

 

 

Curator Jim Goss performs preservation techniques on photo artifacts.

 

 

 

Staff from the FPH, Drummond Home, Woolaroc and the Tom Mix Museum learn new artifact cleaning techniques at a workshop led by Martha Ray, retired OHS Director of Historic Homes.

 

 

 

    

Furnishings were moved out of several rooms for deep carpet cleaning.

Valerie Short repaints ceilings in the foster daughters' bedroom and bathroom.

 

 

 

On February 1st, the new limestone pavers for restoration of the front sidewalk were put into place and work continues on the north portico.
